This week we celebrate Maestro Jaime Laredo. When he announced he would be stepping down from his position, we had scheduled what were to be his final concerts as Music Director with the VSO on April 24 and 25. With anticipated jam-packed houses at the Flynn Center and Paramount Theatre, we can imagine the power of the full VSO orchestra in a program of Mozart, Ludwig, Bruch, and Stravinsky under Jaime’s passionate and insightful leadership. While these concerts could not take place, we look forward to welcoming Jaime back to the podium in the future as a very special guest conductor and giving him the well-deserved accolades for a 20-year career with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra.
On Tuesday April 27, the Vermont State House read a special resolution, celebrating Jaime’s passion and dedication to VSO for the last 20 years. See the resolution below.
