We’re excited to welcome 13 young Vermont composer finalists to Burlington for our MasterClef workshop, and the VSO concert at the Flynn next week!
The finalists are Elizabeth Messier (12th grade) and Frankie Fidler (10th grade) from Champlain Valley Union High School; Naomi Shpaner (8th grade) from Colchester Middle School; Jamie Maddox-White, Callum Robechek and Charles Ehrlich (10th grade) from Montpelier High School; Samuel Kafferlin (8th grade) Williston Central School; Tatiana Byam and Tiko Bedrosian (11th grade) and Theodore Ellis Novotny (12th grade) Burlington High School; Molly Caffry (11th grade) Harwood Union High School; Maaike Dam (10th grade) St. Johnsbury Academy, and Jeremy Holzhammer (8th grade) homeschool.
The MasterClef workshop is on October 29 from 3:00-6:00pm at the Contois Auditorium, Burlington and it will be hosted by composer Suad Bushnaq, VSO Artistic Advisor and Project Conductor Matt LaRocca and accompanist Randal Pierce. One winner and two runners up will be awarded prizes at the end of the workshop.
