Favorite composer: I especially like Rachmaninoff, Janacek, and Sibelius.

Hobbies: audiophile; home improvement; building bicycles/cycling; skiing

How did you get started in music? It was just decided that I would learn the violin at age eight, My father is a musician.

Describe a typical day: Never typical. But many days are about going out to explore, looking for nice nature scenery, or something different, anything at all.

Dream job if not musician: No job. Retirement!!

Favorite vice: too many

Best advice I ever got: Hilary told me to keep checking my blood pressure…. I can’t think of any, really, no one has really given me any advice….

Favorite way to spend an evening: good food and nice walks

Pet peeves: unaccountability, bad manners, inconsistency
