Enjoy a free one-hour, midday concert in beautiful Island Pond, with VSO Principal woodwind musicians Nancy Dimock (oboe), Melissa Mielens (flute), and Janet Polk (bassoon). The trio performs music by baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann, German-Dutch composer Julius Röntgen, the American king of ragtime, Scott Joplin, and Alissa Morris’ “Brush Strokes” – a selection inspired by Claude Monet’s waterlily paintings, Van Gogh’s famous Starry Night and works by pointillist painter Georges Seurat. Bring your camping chair, sunscreen, and picnic basket – no need for tickets or reservations.
