VSO Offstage: The Hollywood Sound

Description: Join us for this online lecture with violinist Katherine Winterstein as she discusses the crossover between classical music and film scores.  This talk will focus on Erich Korngold’s Violin Concerto, which includes themes from several films from the golden age of Hollywood. Winterstein will explore the concerto in depth as she prepares for her performance as guest soloist with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra on March 2 at the Flynn (Burlington) and March 3 at the Paramount Theatre (Rutland).
