Purchase a VSO at the Flynn Subscription
From romantic, savage, and epic American dramas to Japanese anime fantasy, The Hollywood Sound concert explores film scores from the past 80 years. VSO Concertmaster, Katherine Winterstein, performs Korngold’s 1945 film score-infused violin concerto to complete the evening, and Champlain College’s Emergent Media Center takes Psycho to a new visual level with projection-mapped images on the Flynn Stage. This concert is conducted by VSO Music Director Andrew Crust.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is preceded at 6:30 pm. by Musically Speaking, a free pre-concert discussion hosted by Vermont Public’s James Stewart, that provides entertaining insight in to the evening’s program with our conductor and guest soloist.
Special Feature: it’s Hollywood glamour night with the VSO! For one night only, Adventure Dinner is taking over the underbelly of the Flynn and creating a magical, pre-concert dining experience themed to the featured films of the evening. For more information, click here.
